How do I install Emergency Unmerge?

Visit the HubSpot Marketplace listing and click "Install app." You need Super Admin permissions in HubSpot.

Where do I find the Emergency Unmerge card?

After installation, a sidebar card and tab appear on every contact, company, and deal record in your HubSpot portal.

How do I get a credit refund?

Credits are automatically refunded if reconstruction fails. For other issues, contact us at joshua@thirdspaced.com.

How do I disconnect or uninstall?

Record Creation & HubSpot Limitations

Does Emergency Unmerge restore the original record?

No. Due to HubSpot API limitations, the original merged record cannot be restored. Instead, Emergency Unmerge creates a new record with the reconstructed properties. This new record will have a different Record ID and new HubSpot-generated fields such as Create Date.

Why does the unmerged record have a different Record ID?

HubSpot assigns a new Record ID whenever a record is created via API. Since we are creating a new record (not restoring the original), the Record ID will be different. The original Record ID is saved on the new record in the "Emergency Unmerge" property group under the property EU Original Record ID (Pre-Merge).

What about Create Date and other read-only fields?

HubSpot automatically generates certain fields (Create Date, analytics source, lifecycle stage dates, etc.) that cannot be overwritten via API. Emergency Unmerge preserves these original values in a custom property group called "Emergency Unmerge" on each new record. Key properties include:

  • EU Original Create Date (Pre-Merge): the true creation date before the merge
  • EU Original Record ID (Pre-Merge): the original HubSpot Record ID
  • EU All Original Read-Only Values (JSON): a complete JSON backup of all read-only values that could not be written back

Where can I find the "Emergency Unmerge" property group?

On any record that was created or modified by Emergency Unmerge, go to the record in HubSpot and look for the "Emergency Unmerge" property group. You can also find these properties via HubSpot Settings → Properties → filter by group "Emergency Unmerge".

How much does an unmerge cost?

Cost depends on record complexity. Simple records start at 10 credits. Complex records with hundreds of associations may cost 50–850 credits. The scan step is always free and shows the exact credit cost before you commit.

How do I buy credits?

Four options. Buy exactly how many you need:

  • Per-Credit - from $0.05 each: Buy 100+ credits. $0.05/credit under 250, $0.04/credit at 250+.
  • 100 Credits - $4.99 ($0.05/credit): Convenient bundle for simple to medium unmerges.
  • 250 Credits - $9.99 ($0.04/credit): Mid-range option for complex records.
  • 500 Credits - $19.99 ($0.04/credit): Best value, save 20%.

Purchase from your account page or directly from the HubSpot sidebar card when you need more credits.

Do credits expire?

No. Credits never expire. Once purchased, they remain on your account indefinitely.

What will the charge look like on my statement?

Charges appear as "Services - Third Space" or "SERVICES - THIRD SPACE". All payments are processed securely by Stripe. We never store credit card numbers.
